About This Event

Words, Wings & Wine is a professionally produced cultural arts showcase that brings poets, comedians, singers, lyricists and live painters to a 400+ seat room in downtown Baltimore every other month. This isn't a back-of-the-bar open mic. It's a curated show with reserved seating on Ticketmaster, a live DJ, a host, and featured artists who can earn $1,000+ per night. The open mic gets paid too. Since 2019 we've grown from 50 people to 400+, sold out 27+ shows, and paid artists more than $75K, all built on ticket sales. 82% of our audience comes back. Recognized as the 2025 Baltimore Crown Award Open Mic of the Year, featured on CBS Baltimore/WJZ, 92Q, the AFRO and Baltimore Magazine, and the first Black-owned poetry showcase on Ticketmaster in Baltimore. 4.9/5 rating.
