Discover a distinguished collection of nineteenth- and twentieth-century American art, housed in a renovated nineteenth-century mill with a dramatic steel and glass addition that overlooks the bucolic Brandywine River. In 1911, artist N.C. Wyeth used proceeds from his Treasure Island illustrations to buy 18 acres near Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. Today, the preserved house and studio feature original props, a large mural, and period furnishings that offer a glimpse into Wyeth’s work and family life.
