Unveiling Maryland’s Monsters: Legendary Cryptids from the Free State

Join staff from the Pratt's Maryland Department on Tuesday, October 6th in the Poe Room at the Central Library for the 1st program in our series on the Dark Side of Maryland ! Did you know Maryland is home to some of the country's most terrifying monsters? Join us and explore the lore surrounding a loch ness type creature who haunts the Chesapeake Bay, a goat-like humanoid hybrid who makes its home in the DC metropolitan area, two beasts from Western Maryland who may be mortal enemies, and Maryland's very own bigfoot. Whether you are a believer or not, you'll want to find out how Maryland stacks up against our nation's strangest legends and folklore. This is program 1 in our 6 part Dark Side of Maryland series.
