The Platypus Affiliated Society

The Platypus Affiliated Society is a project for the self-criticism, self-education, and, ultimately, the practical reconstitution of a Marxian Left. We hold a reading group every Wednesday where we read and discuss the canonical authors of the historical left such as Marx, Lenin, Luxemburg, Trotsky, Lukacs, and the members of the Frankfurt School. We also hold more informal coffee breaks on Tuesdays at noon in the Coffee Shop where we discuss contemporary politics, the history of left politics, and any other topics that interest us.
