About The Economy
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
Baltimore-based synthpop-rock band The Economy makes music that evokes the deep dark roots of American music that gave rise to it. Inspired by everything from blues and jazz to trance and house, Jonathan Miller (guitar, vocals), Josh Miller (keys), Colin Sidley (bass), and Sean Sidley (drums) channel Daft Punk, Steely Dan, and the Weeknd on their first album “The Early Hours,” released in early 2025 and available on all streaming platforms. The result is a nostalgic yet modern sound, capturing the feeling of a nighttime cityscape twinkling into the backseat of your friend's car, as you head into unknown adventures.
