Japanese Culture Appreciation Day

Celebrate the rich traditions and vibrant culture of Japan at Bowie State University's Japanese Culture Appreciation Day, an event highlighting the university's growing Japanese Studies program. The program features a presentation by Hiroshi Ando, education counselor at the Embassy of Japan, along with representatives from the Japan Exchange and Teaching \(JET\) Program. Attendees can participate in origami and haiku workshops, enjoy a catered Japanese lunch, hear presentations from Bowie State students studying Japanese, experience a traditional musical performance and learn about study abroad opportunities in Japan. Join us for a day of cultural exchange, learning and global connection.
