About This Event

Since 1923, Homewood Museum and Alumni Memorial Residence I \(AMR I\) have stood side by side along North Charles Street at one of Johns Hopkins University's most visible campus gateways. With AMR I now removed and plans underway for a new residence hall and dining facility, the 26th Homewood Museum Architecture Lecture will bring together the architects and planners shaping the site's future. Moderated by Vince Greene of Myers Greene Architects, the panel will feature Emily Licht of Johns Hopkins Facilities & Real Estate, Michael Spory of VMDO, and Peng Gu of Mahan Rykiel Associates. Together, they will explore the historic connections between Homewood Museum and AMR I, and examine how the next chapter of the site will balance institutional needs, architectural context, and landscape design. Audience Q&A and a reception will follow. Free admission to this program is made possible, in part, by our sponsors Henry Dugan & Caroline Griffin, Mary & Chuck Meyer, Vernon & Lucy Wright, Nancy & Henry Hopkins, Myers Greene Architects, C&H Restoration and Renovation, and Mahan Rykiel Associates. If you would like to become a sponsor and support the architectural preservation of Homewood, please contact Dominique Zeltzman at 410-746-8634 or [email protected].
