Healing Through Play at Chesapeake Children’s Museum Throughout the majority of November, from 10 AM–4 PM, families are invited to visit us for a special opportunity to explore feelings, memories, and healing together in honor of Children’s Grief Awareness Month. FREE BOOKS – Enjoy books that help children understand grief, loss, and big feelings. CRAFT ACTIVITIES – Explore creative activities designed to help children express themselves and work through emotions. BOOK READS & RESOURCES – Discover books organized into different groups and topics related to grief and loss, offering support for children and families.These activities are self-guided, so families can explore at their own pace and spend as much time as they need.Feel free to enjoy the entire downstairs of the museum! Read together, create, explore the activities, and connect.Sometimes stories, creativity, and play can help open the door to healing.
