Back to School Festival is coming! It is getting closer to the end of the summer and time for kids to go back to school. Back to School Festival is a celebration to kick off the new school year. Baltimore festivals are a summer time staple in and around the Charm City!!  This summer has been no different! There has been many great festivals so far but there is some summer left and that means there are more great Baltimore festivals coming up.

August

BronyCon The massive fandom of “My Little Pony: Friendship is Forever” gathers once again in Baltimore for a weekend of panels, workshops, merchandise and collectibles vendors, an art show, and live entertainment. Aug. 11-13, Baltimore Convention Center, 1 W. Pratt St., bronycon.org, $30-$65.

Feast of St. Gabriele Italian Festival – If you missed the Feast of St. Anthony Festival back in June, you can still fill up today on vino, cheese, sausage, pizzelle, and pasta, and other Italian grub; plus souvenirs and used books, bocce, bingo, and more. Maryland Renaissance Festival – Travel back to the days of Shakespeare and dragons and watch fencing matches and jesters, eat various fried foods on sticks, and shop for unique gifts and doo dads from old-school artisan vendors. Baltimore County African American Cultural Festival – Celebrate the cultural contributions of African Americans with a full day of family entertainment, educational exhibitions, and vendors. The Parade
Saturday’s 1 ½-mile parade features a stream of floats, eye-catching costumes, and the hip-swaying sounds of soca music.

Parade Date & Time: Saturday, July 15, 2017; 12 Noon – 5:00 PM
Parade Start: 900 E 33rd Street, Baltimore MD 21218
Parade End: Clifton Park, Baltimore MD 21213

From the 900 block of 33rd Street in Baltimore, Maryland, the parade proceeds east on 33rd Street, then turns right on The Alameda and continues south across Harford Road to enter Clifton Park via St. Lo Drive.

The Festival
Immediately following the Baltimore Caribbean Carnival parade on Saturday, July 15 2017 and all day Sunday, July 16 2017.
